The NSS unit of Government Serchhip College  organized  clearing of NSS Plantation Site along the Thenzawl Road in Serchhip District on 7th March 2024.The activity involves removing vegetation in and around the NSS Plantation area, ensuring optimal growth.

In addition to clearing of plantation site, the volunteers diligently prepared fire lines—a traditional practice deeply rooted in Mizo culture for effective fire management during the jhum burning season. Recognizing the importance of proactive measures, the NSS unit  commit to safeguarding the environment and local ecosystems.

A team comprising 5 dedicated NSS volunteers, supported by 2 NSS Programme Officers and 2 teachers, undertook this task with enthusiasm and dedication.
